A Message from Fire Chief Ken Witt to our Citizens, Members, and Stakeholders:
Thank you for taking time to visit the Central Polk County Fire Rescue web site. As Chief of the fire district, I am constantly seeking ways to inform our citizens about the services and capabilities of their fire department. This site is just one of the ways we are trying to let our customers know what the department has to offer. I feel that it is imperative that we provide our customers, our members, and other stakeholders in this organization with ongoing information regarding the accomplishments and the aspirations of the organization, so that they may contribute to our vision for the future and shape the district to meet not only today’s needs, but to meet the challenges that lay ahead.
Since the department's inception nearly 60 years ago, our mandate has been to protect the lives and property of our citizens and visitors. That mandate is still as relevant today as it was those many years ago, but it has evolved into a wide and varied realm of responsibilities, including Emergency Medical Service, Hazardous Materials, and Homeland Security. We eagerly meet these challenges head on, every day.
The members of Central Polk County Fire Rescue are proud to serve you.
